Workshops include presentations from:

David Davis, faculty at GSI;
Interconnection
Ida Rolf left a few traces and clues about the individual becoming fuller in the universe.  In some of her writing, she references monism, connection with everything. David Davis will speak about the inter-connection of core/line/relationship, and how our practice of structural integration can lead the practitioner into greater consciousness, grounded in being.

Jan Sultan, advanced faculty at the RISI;
Understanding the Core

In this colloquium, Jan will talk about the various combinations of leg patterns we see. As they relate to anterior or posterior tilted pelvis, or rotations and torsions in the pelvis, they have different musculo-fascial adaptations. We will examine these relationships and how to intervene coherently in the context of a SI practice.

Les Kertay: Ethics in a Professional Context: The 3 R's
"A premise of this workshop is that adherence to certain basic rules and the ability to describe a moral code are necessary, but not sufficient hallmarks of ethical behavior.  Ethical behavior is alive: it's not something that one "is" or "isn't" so much as something one demonstrates by constantly choosing the most appropriate course of action at a given time, within the context of a given relationship.  That doesn't imply pure relativism, however. We will focus on professional ethics as the ability to understand where we are in a therapeutic relationship, and from that vantage to be able to answer the "3 R's" of ethical action: What is Required? What is Responsible? What is Realistic?"

There will also be time to meet your colleagues and discuss other areas of interest including legislation, public relations, IASI projects and future directions. Space is limited to 100 participants so please register early.
